“We never had so many seekers, we never had so many confusions, so many problems; and in that confusion only, the lotus of your spirit is going to shine. We say in Sanskrit that only in the mud and mire of confusion the lotus is born.”

Homework – Home Meditation
Try this simple meditation at home: Raise Kundalini and give Bandhan at the beginning and end of your meditation. Meditate for a few minutes, first put both the hands on Mother Earth asking for cleansing and then both the hands on the lap, asking Mother Kundalini to lead us into meditation and sit silently for a few minutes.

Sahaja Yoga
Sahaja Yoga is a method of meditation that takes you beyond mental, emotional, and physical activity and allows you to experience the true self which lies within. In Sanskrit, Sahaja means ‘born with’ (‘Saha’ is with, ‘ja’ is born), and Yoga means union. The name, therefore, translates to ‘the union which one is born with.’
This union is between your true self and the all-pervading power that permeates all elements of life. It is achieved through a process that awakens the dormant energy called Kundalini that within each human being. This process is known as Self Realisation. Once the Kundalini is awakened, the individual experiences a blissful state of thoughtless awareness, where the mind is silent and they simply witness the present moment.
Shri Mataji – the founder of Sahaja Yoga
Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi discovered a unique method of meditation called “Sahaja Yoga” which allows the achievement of inner enlightenment and reveals the true potential of humanity. Shri Mataji devoted her entire life to the development and dissemination of this method, and today hundreds of thousands of people around the world practice Sahaja Yoga.
Shri Mataji showed that within each person there is a motherly spiritual energy called Kundalini, the awakening of which leads to a state of spontaneous meditation. Unlike many ancient teachers who were only able to share this experience with a few individuals, Shri Mataji could raise the Kundalini in thousands of people, something previously considered impossible.
The opportunity to awaken this inner spiritual energy distinguishes Sahaja Yoga from other methods of meditation. It is the extraordinary living experience that allows us to achieve a state of complete peace and satisfaction, touch the very essence of our beings, and uncover our very best qualities.
Kundalini and subtle system
In every sentient being there is an energy located in the sacrum, the large, triangular bone at the base of the spine (sacrum coming from the word ‘sacred’). This energy is known in Sanskrit as Kundalini – literally “coiled” – because it is curled up in three and a half spirals.
When the energy residing in this bone is awakened it rises up the spine and comes out through the fontanelle area- the part of the head which is soft in babies. When the Kundalini passes through this area it can be perceived as a cool breeze, as if it were pouring out of a fountain. Fontanelle derives from the Old French for “little fountain”, which no longer seems like a coincidence in the light of this experience.

“As you know that within our body She is placed as Kundalini, means She is the Virgin. She is untouched, the desire to become Spirit is without any blemish “nirmal”. There is no blemish, its waiting is pure. There is no other desire but to be one with the Divine. All other desires are finished.”
